Feature request? enable/disable plugin on-the-fly?

Is there a feature/ability to enable or disable a plugin on-the-fly? For example, I'd like to use the auto-resize plugin most of the time, but sometimes, I would like the full sized graphic uploaded...e.g., a switch/control (in the dialog) or holding a key down while uploading?
