In part (a), hould the question say "A function has a maximum value of 7" rather than "at 7"? The "at" makes me think it's referring to an x-value not a y-value. And the answer is pointing toward a max of 7.
In part (b), the answer says to think about a vertical shift. But that would change the max value. Should it say to think about horizontal stretches/compressions instead?
After Activity 4.1.18, there should be something to clarify that when |a|>0 the graph narrows and when 0<|a|<1, it widens. We can refer back to FN4 (Transformations).
Also, the section needs some fluency questions at the end. These could be copied from CheckIt if we want to do that. And include some direction about including the vertex in the sketch along with at least one (two?) points on each side of the vertex. That way they do more to
