Dense Woodlands
At first glance the Dense Woodlands may appear to be yet another forest biome, however, the Dense Woodlands are comprised of only large oak trees! This makes for a beautiful oak canopy overhead perfect for shading the player during their long journey. Watch out though, as monsters like to hide in the shade as well!
The Dense Woodlands is a hot forest biome that contains copious amounts of tall grass as well as massive large oak trees overhead, a companion of the Woodlands biome from Traverse. The high amount of large oak trees means that the forest floor is very dark, and in some areas even allows monsters to spawn.
The Dense Woodlands is a simple biome comprised of two parts, generating in the hot/dry climate zone:
- Dense Woodlands (
terrestria:dense_woodlands): The primary forest area. - Dense Woodlands Edge (
terrestria:dense_woodlands_edge): A bordering zone with fewer trees that transitions into the neighboring biome.
The Dense Woodlands is a rather hot biome, often found near deserts, savannas, or plains biomes.
The Dense Woodlands was inspired by the Woodlands from Traverse as well as the Dense Forest and Overgrown Grasslands biomes from Biomes O' Plenty.
