Record an INP for automated testing:

.\mame.exe -console roms/galaga.zip -autoboot_script mothership_emu.lua -input_directory inp -record test

Run an INP for automated testing:

.\mame.exe -console roms/galaga.zip -autoboot_script mothership_emu.lua -input_directory inp -playback test -window
