Scripts for printing from Steam Deck desktop without need to touch root files. Everythign shoudl survive system update.

After downloading make sure to set files as executable.

  1. Run initial-run.sh (file will delete itself after initial run as will not be needed afterwards)
  2. Configure your printer in CUPS (http://127.0.0.1:1024) making sure that printer you will want to use is set up as DEFAULT
  3. Print something from Steam Deck to PDF file and put it in /home/deck/print/jobs/ directory (there can be multiple files - all shoudl be printed)
  4. Run pod-print.sh and wait for print to finish (note that PDF files from jobs directory will be deleted)
