== Description ==

The Elevator Wordpress Plugin connects with instances of the open source Elevator Application to provide easy embedding of Elevator assets within Wordpress sites. Assets remain hosted within Elevator, so no additional storage is necessary on the Wordpress host.

For more information on Elevator, visit [http://www.elevatorapp.net](http://www.elevatorapp.net).

Elevator and the Elevator Asset Browser were developed by the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota.

== Installation ==

1. Upload `elevatorasset` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
3. Configure the Elevator plugin via the settings menu. Enter your target instance as the endpoint, and provide the API Key and Secret provided by your Elevator administrator.
4. Begin a new post. Click the "Add Asset from Elevator" button to begin embedding an asset. Your Elevator site will open in a new tab. Browse to your target asset and click "add to Wordpress" in the header. You may continue to browse to new assets to embed additional items.
