Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. the game crashed once before 4 days when i first install archlinux and ran the game
  2. then every thing worked fine for the past 3 days
  3. i updated the latest update 10/8/2024 today
  4. now i can't join any match when ever i queue and server found the game crashes while connecting to server
  • Note

have this issue after the latest update https://steamcommunity.com/games/CSGO/announcements/detail/7514910232813947875 . before everything does work fine.
i can't even start a bot game. everytime it crashes. if try to restart cs2 it won't even load into menu. have to restart whole system

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.11.2-4-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 30.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics
Manufacturer: LENOVO
Product Name: 20UDCTO1WW
System Version: ThinkPad T14 Gen 1

EDIT: What fixed my problem was, that i temporary activated shading pre-caching within steam. cs2 downloaded something and recalculated vulkan and after that it worked again. deactivated pre-caching again. still works.

EDIT2: Or was it the last update? https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/16001466/
