External editing of menu items

So I'm experimenting with ViewTouch so I can learn it and maybe offer it as a solution for local business.

I'm wondering if there is a way to manually edit the menu items from either an external program or via a text editor?
Also is there a menu somewhere, or a file that I can edit to change the colors and or pictures? I'm not seeing an easy way.

Unfortunately for you no. ViewTouch was designed to be a whole package, no need for external tools. So the configuration of the POS is done inside ViewTouch, and it writes the needed config files.

To invoke the ability to do what you're inquiring about, and access the ability to do much more, log on as the Editor, then press the F1 button to switch to 'Edit' Mode. Both this tool and extensive documentation for ViewTouch editing and settings are contained within the program itself. This greatly simplifies offering users access to the tools and information they need.
