Starting ViewTouch: runonce, vtpos, Directories & Files
The command to run ViewTouch the first time is
/usr/viewtouch/bin/vtpos
The command to run ViewTouch after the first time is
/usr/viewtouch/bin/runonce
These 5 files are created automatically in /usr/viewtouch/dat/ the first time vtpos runs.
- error_log.txt
- media-archive.dat
- .restart_flag
- settings-archives.dat
- settings.dat
These 14 directories and 2 files are created automatically in /usr/viewtouch/dat/ the first time runonce runs.
- /accounts/
- /archive/
- /backups/
- /current/
- /customers/
- /expenses/
- /html/
- /labor/
- /languages/
- /pageexports/
- /pageimports/
- /stock/
- /text/
- /updates/
- debuglog
- runlog
These directories must exist in /usr/viewtouch
- bin
- css
- dat
- graphics
These directories should exist in /usr/viewtouch/dat/ and should be created if they do not exist.
- /conf/
- /screensaver/
These files at http://www.viewtouch.com/vt_data.html should be downloaded.
- fastfood.ini fees.ini tax.ini
- exception.dat
- locale.dat
These files are needed and their initial state must be downloaded.
