Privacy Rules - Witness Angel

This is the summary of how WitnessAngel apps handle privacy, and is meant to be exposed on AppStore descriptions

By default, WitnessAngel apps do not transmit any data about their users (personal information, location...) to WitnessAngel servers or to third-party partners. All data collected is meant to be stored locally (in keystores, container storages), and heavily protected by encryption.

However, if users choose to publish their public authenticator profile on a WitnessAngel gateway, to share it with other people, then the "owner name" of the authenticator, chosen by the user, will be transmitted as part of the authenticator profile. But this information remains unavailable to people who don't have the "UUID" of this authenticator.

Exception to the general rule : some non-personal data can be transmitted for debugging purpose, in case of app crash, see this page for information: Mobile app crash reports

If you have any question regarding the use of data by WitnessAngel apps, or if you wish to delete a publish authenticator, please contact us at: https://witnessangel.com/contact/
