What?
This new endpoint was added here and is preparatory work for #45237, which needed more testing(mostly for performance impact). That PR will not make it for
6.2. So I'm moving these files tocompat/6.3folder.Testing Instructions
Test the API endpoint in a REST client (/wp-json/wp/v2/pattern-directory/categories). It should match the pattern categories in pattern directory, as it was before.
