This repository contains the data the COVID-19 graphs on the homepage of the York Vision website, as well as the code to semi-automatically update them.
Note: on October 26, the University changed its methodology "to align with a new reporting requirement to the Office for Students". Previously, data would be reported in the afternoon, and consist of the cases reported that day; from October 26 onward, data is reported in the morning, covering cases reported the previous day (and the weekend on Mondays).
The University doesn't publish historical COVID data anywhere, only a daily summary. So this repo contains a (very bad) Bash script that scrapes the site (using pup) and submits a pull request if there's any new data.
The code (all files except .csv) is licensed under the MIT License. All .csv files are licensed under the Open Database License. Any rights in individual contents of the database are licensed under the Database Contents License.
