fix the whitespace removal on RTD badge

Those {%- and %} to trim whitespace are confusing. ;-)

I also notice that the RTD Badge would have been included if docs was "no" and fixed that as well.

I'm not familiar with the specific cookiecutter template symbols, but this makes sense to me. It looks like it has something to do with nesting and un-nesting.

No so much nesting but trimming or leaving whitespace in JINJA templates.
I had never seen it before I dug into this myself.
