tables do not work

Copied text from your doc into http://tmpvar.com/markdown.html to check, but did not get table. Funny thing is, that when I paste your code into this comment, the preview shows the nice table. Also works in the real deal, i.e., README.md in my repository. But still broken in the live preview. Now that I think about it, not your bug. Oops. Maybe you can forward to the right place.

The outer pipes (|) are optional, and you don't need to make the raw Markdown line up prettily. You can also use inline Markdown.
