Check for empty gloss fields in gloss mode. Also started some work on adapt-it#601 (not complete).

Forward / backwards working. Looks like the buttons get disabled at weird times as well -- investigating.

Describe the bug
When clicking the go forward / backward button, the editor should advance to select from just past the current selection to the end of the phrase (i.e., to the next punctuation). I'm currently getting some weird behavior in how the navigation is working; this issue is to just clean up the navigation so that it behaves correctly and selects the appropriate piles.
