The following sections detail changes that are anticipated, such as additional mappings for the Unicode CMap resources, and the prospects for Supplement 8.
As of this writing, there are no mappings that are scheduled to be added to the Unicode CMap resources for this character collection.
The following are candidate glyphs for Supplement 8:
- Three additional glyphs to fully support JIS X 0212-1990 prototypical glyphs.
- Additional U-PRESS glyphs that were established shortly after Supplement 6 was published.
- Additional glyphs to support the ARIB STD-B24 standard.
The following table shows the three glyphs for JIS X 0212-1990 kanji that are considered candidates for Supplement 8, along with their related forms that are in Supplement 5. Adobe-Japan2-0 CIDs are also provided for reference.
