vol2bird
has been tested on Linux (Ubuntu) and Mac OSX (Yosemite). There is no support for Windows.
vol2bird
has two dependencies:
- the library
RAVE
, which contains functions to read/write files in OPERA HDF5 formate (ODIM_h5).RAVE
is part of the Baltrad toolbox software package. - the library
confuse
, which takes care of reading the configuration files ofvol2bird
.
To install RAVE as a stand-alone library, clone two baltrad repositories:
git clone git://git.baltrad.eu/rave.git
git clone git://git.baltrad.eu/hlhdf.git
Follow the installation instructions of each of these two repositories.
On Mac OSX, one edit needs to be made in the package directory of hlhdf
:
Edit the file def.mk
in the root directory of the hlhdf
package, and change the LDSHARED
variable from -bundle
into -dynamiclib
On Ubuntu, RAVE may also be installed via the BALTRAD node-installer, which automatically installs all required dependencies (including hlhdf).
To only install RAVE do
./setup --prefix=/your/installation/path/ --subsystems=STANDALONE_RAVE
Confuse can be installed from source, and is available in Linux package managers.
On Mac OSX confuse
can be installed via Macports:
port install libconfuse
Use the Makefile
- vol2bird installation
- ODIM hdf5 bird profile format
- VP csv specification
- Radar data requirements and availability
