Task Description

Create an Architecture Decision Record (ADR) documenting the decision to use Styled Components for CSS styling for all the CFIA projects.

Objectives

  • Document the benefits of using Styled Components over traditional CSS.
  • Explain the rationale behind this decision.
  • Contrast Styled Components with alternative styling methods.

Acceptance Criteria

  • An ADR is created following the provided template.
  • The ADR should include a detailed explanation of 'why' we are choosing Styled Components and its benefits.
  • Alternatives considered and reasons for not choosing them should be clearly articulated.
  • The ADR should include reference links to relevant resources or discussions that influenced the decision.
  • Ensure the ADR is reviewed and approved by the project lead or designated team members.

Notes

  • This ADR will be a key document in our project repository, helping new and existing team members understand the styling approach for all the CFIA projects.
