Hello Juicebox Team,

I am experiencing an issue with Juicebox on Windows where I am unable to open or select any folders outside of the C:\Documents directory. Whenever I attempt to do so, the file dialog either shows an empty list or does not respond, preventing me from working with files located in other directories.
image

Environment:

  • Juicebox version:juicebox_2.15.08.jar
  • Java version: 1.8.0_401-b10
  • Operating System: Windows 11

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch Juicebox.
  2. Attempt to open a file or folder outside of the C:\Documents directory.
  3. Observe that the file dialog fails to show contents or select the desired directory.

Expected Behavior:
The file dialog should allow me to navigate and select directories and files outside of C:\Documents.

Actual Behavior:
The file dialog is either empty or unresponsive when attempting to access directories outside of C:\Documents.

I have verified that the issue is not related to file permissions, as I can access these directories from other applications without issue. Additionally, I have tried running Juicebox as an administrator, but the problem persists.

Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it?

Thank you for your assistance and for the great work on Juicebox.
