How to Use the VIT-B Android Project

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/akp660/VITB.git
    cd VIT-B
  2. Open in Android Studio:

    1. Launch Android Studio.
    2. Select Open an existing project.
    3. Navigate to the cloned repository and open it.
  3. Build the Project:

    1. Wait for Android Studio to finish syncing and building the project.
    2. Ensure all dependencies are installed.
  4. Run the App:

    1. Connect your Android device or use an emulator.
    2. Click on the Run button or use Shift + F10.
  5. View the Menu: Open the app on your device. Navigate through the app to view the daily menu for your hostel mess.

  6. Customize the Menu: Modify the menu_data.json file in the assets directory to update the food items. Rebuild and run the app to see the changes.

  7. Report Issues: If you encounter any issues, please open an issue on the GitHub repository.

Enjoy using the VIT-B App!

This app shows the Mess-Menu of VIT Bhopal and allows you to connect with the VTOP server. In the future, it can be used to share notes among students as well. This app is built upon Java and can run on Android 5 or later on all Android devices.
