Remediation

  • Navigate to the Elasticsearch service in the AWS Management Console
  • Select the Elasticsearch domain specified in the CloudFormation template
  • Click on the 'Configuration' tab
  • Under 'Encryption', enable node-to-node encryption
  • Save the changes
  • Update the CloudFormation template to include the node-to-node encryption settings

Rationale

Enabling node-to-node encryption ensures that data is encrypted during transmission between nodes, enhancing data security.
