Remediation

  • Navigate to the DynamoDB service in the AWS Management Console
  • Select the DynamoDB table specified in the CloudFormation template
  • Click on the 'Actions' dropdown and select 'Enable Point-in-Time Recovery'
  • Configure the desired settings for point-in-time recovery
  • Save the changes
  • Update the CloudFormation template to include the point-in-time recovery settings

Rationale

Enabling point-in-time recovery for DynamoDB tables allows you to restore the table to any point in time during the last 35 days, providing an additional layer of data protection.
