FYI the CRAN URL for macOS packages is now https://cran.MIRROR.com/bin/macosx/el-capitan/contrib/3.4/

repoPrefix() will need to be updated accordingly.

not sure what the best approach to updating existing miniCRAN repos will be.

this issue can be closed once dev has been merged into master. thank you @vnijs for the PR and @krlmlr for reviewing/testing.

added warnings for incompatible R versions and pkg types --  note this should probably be expanded to include the restrictions on leopard and other mac binaries

I began adding warnings for incompatible mac binary types and R versions (a872bcc). This should probably be expanded to include the restrictions on leopard and other mac binaries.
