There is no way to monitor when the drop down is closed.
This would be helpful if a developer wanted to send some info the server on close (to persist the user's selection).
This would be a helpful as an event instead of watching the ng-model as in the case of multi-select, you don't want to send a ping to the server every time a selection is made or changed.
