So i built openbrowser tonight, its a built in backround browser that gives the claude pro and max users hyperbrowser mcp and automation tools. all of them haha

adding on to this, i also have a built in sql server that launches that allows the agent to to use the new tools and not be flooded with data. current issues is tui floods with logs in background haha

OpenBrowser + OpenStorage: Web Automation for OpenCode

Heres a little review of some stuff ive added and tested on my personal fork. im sure it needs work. ive been testing things trying to slim the tooling down as much as i can before submiting a pr. going to make a video later of it live. i think the it could be used better than how ive thought about it

Technical Architecture

• Browser Engine: Go + chromedp (Chrome DevTools Protocol)
• Storage: SQLite with FTS5 full-text search
• AI Integration: Direct access to OpenCode's AI providers
• Size Impact: ~20MB additional footprint
• Integration: Works seamlessly with existing OpenCode workflow

Why This Matters

This gives OpenCode users the ability to:

• Research and extract information from any website
• Build searchable knowledge bases from web content

• Handle CAPTCHAs intelligently when needed
• Keep all data local and private

All within OpenCode's existing workflow, using the same AI providers and session management.

Current Status

• 16/17 tools working (removed 1 redundant tool)
• 13/13 CAPTCHA types solved (100% success rate)

• Ready for integration
