Flicker/navigation when collapsing and expanding projects

Description

When you click on a project to collapse or expand it in the sidebar, you see a flicker in the right side content. It also seems to navigate me away from the session I am currently viewing. Look at the code, it doesn't seem like this is the expected behavior.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to a session
2. Collapse or expand another project
3. You should then see a flicker and get navigated to that project
