This is an xcfem (https://github.com/xcfem/xc.git) docker image, built on Ubuntu 18.04 Linux System.
You can run xcfem (https://github.com/xcfem/xc.git) or bash in the container.
First, install docker on your platform. See https://docs.docker.com/install/
- Enter the docker environment:
run command
docker run -it antonsurv/xcfem
Example usage:
[antman@my-pc]$ docker run -it antonsurv/xcfem
root@d818fba1fb71:/# cd /home/docker/
root@d818fba1fb71:/home/docker# ls
build_xc
- Let's clone xc example from https://github.com/xcfem/xc_examples.git
root@d818fba1fb71:/home/docker# git clone https://github.com/xcfem/xc_examples.git

- Let's run
tutorial_001_meshgen.py
in the xc example folder:
root@d818fba1fb71:/home/docker# ls
build_xc xc_examples
root@d818fba1fb71:/home/docker# cd xc_examples/
root@d818fba1fb71:/home/docker/xc_examples# ls

- Example 2 (copying file from host to docker container):
- Open two terminal. On the first terminal let's run
docker run -it antonsurv/xcfem
. - Open the second terminal run:
docker ps
, and we get container id (example:d4ab1093e1dd
). - Copy folder from host to container id with docker command:
docker cp $(pwd)/xc_examples d4ab1093e1dd:/home/docker
- On the first terminal now we can run tutorial 2:
root@d4ab1093e1dd:/home/docker/xc_examples/XC_tutorial_002# python tutorial002_script.py

- If you want persistent data, create volume (ex:
myvol
) and attach/mount to/home/docker
in container:
$ docker create volume my-vol
$ docker run -it -v my-vol:/home/docker antonsurv/xcfem
- If you need a graphical environment with Direct display using XAuth: Follow the step of this Youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDg6TRwiPtg.
