I've been thinking about how we could indicate version changes in the grid, and came up with a design idea — attaching a screenshot here for reference.

Do you think this kind of visual indicator makes sense?

I had something really similar in mind, and I think that could be a good start.

Also bear in mind that we will also have 'horizontal' indicators in between tasks of the same run. Because the dag structure can change during a dagrun, this is why DagRun.dag_versions is a list.

I put together a quick draft based on your comment (see below).
I also wanted to get your thoughts on a couple of things:

1. When showing version changes in the bar graph, what do you think about visually distinguishing changes that occur during a Dag Run (e.g., using a different color like red)? Or would it be better to keep all version changes the same color for consistency? (In the current draft, I’ve used orange for regular changes and red for mid-run ones.)

2. For version changes that happen during a Dag Run, do you think the current approach I’ve used in the TaskInstancesColumn makes sense? Or would you suggest a different way to present that information?

NIce, I think this makes sense yes. Same color would be my recommendation. (we can already dissociate by their position if they are mid run version change or in between dag run version change).
