We add a new snitch for Alibaba cloud platform, which user can deploy Cassandra on Alibaba cloud platform more easily. we get the meta data of Alibaba cloud ECS location information (zone-id) from the center throgh http. the zone-id format are the same as aws zone/google cloud platform , like : us-east-a that us-east means the us east region , a is a az under the region . other az may be like b,c,d and so on.
This time we modify the code for 4.x .
