These examples may be born in the early days of Kubernetes, and nowadays it's unreasonable to deploy nameserver and broker in one deployment(as deployment.yaml) or deploy broker as deployment instead of statefulset.
IMO we should rewrite the whole example for Kubernetes, not just patch.

Use apps/v1 for deployment. Latest k8s versions donot support extenstion/v1beta1
