SampleApp does not start

I've tried the sample app too but I see the Android logo only, nothing happens. It does not start for some reason. I have no errors at all, but a warnings, saying:

1. for ARChon:

'minimum_chrome_version' is only allowed for extensions, legacy packaged apps, hosted apps, and packaged apps, but this is a shared module.
Unrecognized manifest key 'arc_build_tag'.

2. for the SampleApp:

Unrecognized manifest key 'arc_metadata'.

What can be done?

I use Chromium Version 81.0.4044.138 (Developer Build) (64-bit) under Sabayon Linux 64 bit.
It is stated in some articles that developer channel should be used, is it right?

@msdobrescu same here. No errors at all, but it hangs at the Android logo. CPU also appears to be under heavy load... but nothing happens.

Seeing that the codebase has remained untouched for 7 years and that there have been a lots of similar threads with no solutions or not even a reply, I think it's safe to assume this project went completely abandoned, and is now totally dead.

Big thank you to maintainers, who couldn't care less to just write a couple of lines about that, avoiding unnecessary headaches to other people.
