Last week we received an issue report from the beta about this error. It was blocking the student from progressing.
The issue has been reported: auth0/express-openid-connect#181
To resolve this issue, I added the base64url module to the list of dependencies for all regular web applications version. Also, to prevent this from happening in the future, I have committed the package-lock.json files for each sample application.
