Question about the relationship between this repo and the live AWS Lambda environment

In a Python 3.12 Lambda function deployed today (12/1/2024), I ran this

import awslambdaric

print(f"{awslambdaric.__version__=}")

and see awslambdaric.__version__='2.2.0'

yet this project's RELEASE.CHANGELOG.md shows that version released on August 8, 2024.

When do versions from this repo go live?
