Rust support in sam build is already in a Work-in-Progress PR - aws/aws-lambda-builders#43.

Ruby will happen soon. It will happen sooner if you can contribute :)

@metaskills We released invoke ruby runtimes in 0.8.0.

I am going to leave this open so we can track build support for Ruby (and will update the title to reflect).

Ruby builds are now supported in v0.10.0
