THE btw UPDATE
this update fixes a ton of bugs. The few extensions that caused crashes are fixed, extension prefs now apply correctly, error handling for ext repos is improved, the dead and broken built in sources were removed (your hitomi and 8muses stuff will be auto-migrated to the ext, you just have to find and install it), auto-backups no longer fill your phone, the "last used" source display is FINALLY fixed after like 4 years, and reading manga on flip phones is improved :) .
also, this update adds a new image decoder with JXL, AVIF, and HEIF support, adds the "add repo intent" so you can add repos from websites with one click, and switches from .proto.gz to the newer .tachibk extension for backups.
there's a better changelog in the app, but basically this update is a HUGE amount of bugfixes + improvements + some backports.
So here I was using my amazingly fast linux(I use arch btw) desktop and I decide to check my system rescource usage through htop.
And what I saw.....
Was horrifying....
Htop indicated my OS ALONE was using 348.2MB / 32GB of my ram.....
My trousers havent smelled the same since....
How did linux get so full of bloat??? Just yesterday I read that kde uses 2MB more storage space after a recent update. JUST MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME USE MY WHOLE PC WHY DONT YOU!!! I dont know how wintards put up with this shit, soon everything will be full of bloat and you'll need a super computer to open vim.
Well time to install alpine I guess.....
(sorry for the ~6mb apk size increase, that's the new image decoder)
