Import into Notepad++ v6.6.9 fails with error "Fail to import"

I downloaded the less.xml file, opened Notepad++, then as instructed clicked menu Language/Import - selected downloaded less.xml file, then just the bare error pop up "Fail to import".

Any suggestions for a workaround?

Probably they've changed something in the new version on NP++.
I've only tested it with v6.5, you can try with that version and see if it
works.

I've just tried to import less.xml with the latest Notepad++ version (7.8.1), and works without issues for me.

Maybe the less.xml file you downloaded got corrupted somehow. 🤔

Try with this link to less.xml, or click on Export UDL from here.
