Hey, if no one has volunteered yet, I can help with the schemes repo :) I'm working on an up-to-date rust builder as well. Should be available soonish(TM) |
Yes, definitely! I really appreciated that large PR you submitted. It'll be nice to have someone other than me with eyes on that. |
Hi, I do not have much experience with coding just yet but I can help test out things :) If I have something to say, I'll make sure to open an issue. |
Great, thanks! It's always to get more eyes on a project. |
Just wanted to mention somewhere that because @JamyGolden has been helping out so much with logistics and updating repos, they've been added as a co-owner of the @base16-project org! This should help with future proofing a bit, and make it so multiple people can help out with anything admin related that comes up. Additionally now that we've got multiple admins, the project shouldn't suffer if one of us disappears. |
Hello. I maintain the iTerm and ConEmu support for base16 and am interested in joining. https://github.com/martinlindhe/base16-iterm2 |
@martinlindhe has been involved in a few base16 projects before and is interested in joining base16-project org to maintain some repos! Are you interested in any in particular? (current or future since we're busy building up awareness of the org and having projects transfered) edit: sent that at basically the same time 😅 |
Nothing in particular, I just want to help with the group effort. |
Sounds good! I'll add you as a maintainer. We've done some nice work with https://github.com/base16-project/base16-builder-go and github actions (https://github.com/base16-project/base16-emacs) recently. Got PRs out for the other repos to follow suit. |
@martinlindhe could you transfer base16 iterm2 and conemu over to base16-project and we can get @base16-project-bot set up on those repos to auto update the colorschemes once a week? |
Sure, good idea! |
Both are moved now. |
Great, I'll create a PR adding the auto-colorscheme-update tomorrow. I'm off to bed now 😪 Good to have you on board 😄 |
Hi! I've been using and tweaking some templates for a while. It's good to see this project revived. How can I submit templates to project-contrib? I don't see any way to add a repo. I have a template for foot that I'd be willing to maintain. |
Hi @h4-n1 👋 I'll add you to base16-project and you should be able to transfer to and also create repositories under base16-project. |
It's a pleasure seeing the project moving forward. I've been using base16 since 2018 and maintaining, tho not so frequently, my templates (base16-concfg, base16-prism) and schemes (base16-snazzy-scheme), etc. I am interested in joining and helping with the project if you're still looking for volunteers. It seems Chris hasn't been active for more than a year, hope him all well. |
@chawyehsu we're definitely still looking for volunteers! I'll send an invite now and you should be able to transfer you repos. If you're interested in being a maintainer in other projects, let me or @belak know and we can add you ad a maintainer somewhere else too. We're busy finalising a method for keeping repos up to date, once it's been somewhat decided (may be within a few days) then we can get it set up in your repos. |
i'd be interested to be one of maintainers of the things related to theme/template formats and such since we got a more active community nowadays after moving to the org i see it as an opportunity to finally solve some of current problems of the format itself, which with bigger community be easier to discuss and practically implement and the one which bothers me the most as a linux user - what 16 colors of base16 theme are just not enough for holding a full terminal colorscheme and i think other people might have other concerns about the format, so i'd like to be part of both improving it and keeping it backward compatible at the same time (so such changes wouldnt instantly make all existing but not actively updating themes or templates obsolete) |
@actionless I'll add you to the team and I'll add you as a maintainer for base16-* projects you get involved in. Yeah those are important discussions we need to have and would be good to have you there to contribute to them. This issue may start turning into those discussions so you may want to follow it: #7 |
Hi all, I'm the mainainer of base16-qutebrowser and I was asked by @JamyGolden to join your group. I'm happy to transfer my repository to this organization and further maintaining it. Moreover, I can also have a look at currently unmaintained repositories. Please tell me which ones would be candidates. |
@theova this this is what things look like at the moment: 0 maintainers: base16-fzf So there is room for maintainers on all of them. |
btw a have a template for qOwnNotes but i havent been using the app itself for almost a year so i'm not sure if it's still working well with it : https://github.com/themix-project/base16-template-qOwnNotes - idk if makes any sense moving it here or just remove it |
@JamyGolden Hello. I would like to sharing you my base16-gallery and transferring it to the unbrella of this project. Base 16 themes are so nice. However, we do not see the palletes without installation. I made it to preview them for users. I hope that it helps other users. https://base16-project.github.io/base16-gallery |
@actionless could you write a short readme about getting that template to work in qOwnNotes, I'll get auto updates running on the repo and we can decide if it has any value in future? @tani that would be really great. There used to be a way to preview the colorschemes on the chriskempson.com domain with https://github.com/chriskempson/base16-html-previews and I've been meaning to look at getting something set up using the bsae16-html-previews component. Base16-gallery helps people see this right away which is valuable. I'll add you to the team and you can transfer the repo. Are you planning on being a maintainer for that repo? Are you interested in maintaining other repos? |
Thank you for approving my proposal. I have transferred my repo just now. I'll keep maintaining that repo. Cheers! |
@mattdavis90 @adilosa are you two still planning on transferring the repos under the base16-project umbrella and being maintainers. ( @adilosa you mentioned you didn't have too much time to spare but you could still be one of the maintainers on the project) |
I've moved the tmux repo over |
As another note, we've added another admin @joshgoebel to help with stability during some of the drama! Now that we've got a set of 3 admins, we'll probably hold off on adding more for a while, but we're still looking for more contributors. |
sorry, I didn't realize all I had to do was just transfer the repo. I've transferred to base16-project/base16-jetbrains |
@khamer are you still planning on moving base16-i3 over to the base16-project umbrella and being the primary maintainer? |
That's great @obahareth! I've just sent an invite to the org. |
We're always open for anyone joining the tinted-theming organisation. There are steps to follow in the CONTRIBUTING.md file, so follow that if anyone in future is interested. Since we have a document with these steps, I'm going to close the issue. |
Because we're a new org starting up, we're looking for more people who are willing to help maintain some of these projects, whether that's templates, the spec, or something else.
Please feel free to talk about what you're willing to help with here so we can get some more people added.
