First your description of the initial behavior and deadlock is correct. 👍
But there is few problems with your wining strategy

The first winner is the right person to do the shuffle prosses because he wont be able to get the watter if they hold there cups also he is the only one of the guests that got nothing to lose from cheating cause he alredy insured his cup if they all put theirs

The first winner can do any shuffles but this supposes the other guests accepted this new rule. *second problem is that this first winner will try to make profit from this new situation => For example he can try to sell the last position (let's against half cup) !! he can make you winner so he can request you to give him half your cup beforehand. This problem will for stop the other guests from accepting this strategy (they will be at first's winner mercy)

Hii @bellaj hmm.. in our solution we supposed that one cup is enough for one person.. + the only thing that has value in this situation is watter only "not money or something .. " .. thats why we did take this approach in our process.. so the winner has no profit by doing any sort of cheating ..instead he ll try as much as possible to be honest and clear... and mm its not necessarily that the winner is the one who suggests this idea maybe the others, hmm after the shuffling process the probability that the cup in your hand is not yours is higher so every body will try to put the cup in his hand as fast as he can.. mm
