You might have to snap connect bitcoin-core:removable-media See https://snapcraft.io/docs/interface-management

This problem is referenced in my post above as well. Bitcoin core has not been installed via snap. Is there a solution on how to chose a data directory?

This will be fixed in 0.20.1

I'm still having this problem with the 0.20.1 snap. My .bitcoin directory is in my home directory. Trying to connect to "home" doesn't seem to be supported by the snap. So "sudo snap connect bitcoin-core:home" only yields an error message "error: snap "bitcoin-core" has no plug named "home""

I want to use the snap package because I want to auto update but this makes it really difficult.

can you re-test the latest/edge channel, please?

Yep. That works!

I did have to rename my ~/.bitcoin to ~/bitcoin (no "." ). I don't think you can fix that part because that's a snap feature/limitation. Thank you
