Contact Sync on Xiaomi

I have been using DAVx5 for a long time on many devices and never had problem in the setup. But now, I installed it on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (Android 13) and everything works except for the sync of contacts from the server (Nextcloud 26) to the device (Simple contacts). Modifications and new contacts on the server do not appear on the phone. Calendars are synchronized in both directions and contacts from the device to the server.

Does anybody have experience with contact sync on a Xiaomi device?

Does it work with another contacts app?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that in the Google Contacts app and the Dialer only the same contacts are shown as in Simple Contacts. So, it seems to be no problem of Simple Contacts.

You can see everything the sync does, including the number of synced contacts, in the Debug Info. You can also send the debug info to https://www.davx5.com/support

Thank you for the advice. I already looked at the logs before I started this discussion, but could now see anything striking.

In the Debug Info only the 5 local contacts are shown, but not the 20 contacts on the server. In the logs I could only see the sync from the phone to the server (I added one test contact), but not vice versa.

I will send the logs to the support, maybe you can identify a problem.

The problem was caused by an faulty initial sync. The following procedure solved it: de-select the address book in DAVx5 and press sync. This will clear the address book. Select the address book again and press sync.
