how to dance with nextcloud - what is it what I am doing wrong

Hi,

when trying to sync with nextcloud I stuck completely.

I have nextcloud running in the latest version (24) and am still syncing with Davx5 and some other apps my contacts and some calendars with my Samsung S21.

What I am doing with jtx is the following:

1. • jtx->sync with davx5 (there is no data from the existing davx5-accounts - so I am forced to create a new account within davx5)
2. • add account to davx5 - the connection is working as I can see my contacts and calendars.
3. • adding a new calendar (named it jtx), adding support for all types of data including vjournal
4. • calendar is existing and selectable
5. • doing a inital sync, or at least clicking the button for syncing - nothing happens visually at least no reaction from jtx so I have to ...
6. • ... end davx5 and go back to jtx
7. • going to sync with davx5 again -> jtx is still asking for adding an account to davx5
8. • shutting down jxt completely
9. • starting up jxt
10. • going to sync with davx5
11. • still asking to add an account to davx5 - nothing to see from the two existing accounts within davx5
12. • going to collections
13. • trying to add a remote collections
14. • davx5 is opening and I can see my two accounts
15. • select the jtx account
16. • i can see the contacts and the calendar folder, I can select and deselect the created jtx-calendar within davx5 but I cant select it in a way jtx will accept it as its syncing point.

The previous steps could be reproduced even with an url that explicitly points to a single calendar ... same effect.

Well, davx5 is working like a charm with all my other apps. What is it what I am missing - how can I say jtx what exact calendar to use and stop bothering me again and again and again to create a new account within davx5.

Hi Michael, maybe there is a problem with the storage access because of missing permissions? Which versions do you currently use of DAVx5 and jtx board?

@devvv4ever Hi, thanks for your attention. Nextcloud version ist latest (24), jtx just installed from App-Store - Version 1.02.03-rc03.gplay (102030006) 30.06.2022, davx5 is Version 4.2.2-gplay (402020000) 21.06.2022. Beside jtx DavX5 is running smoothly at all for many months for my other belongings (calendars, contacts, etc). I liked the idea behind jtx alot, as of that I would like to try it. It works locally but is not syncing at all with my nextcloud instance. All my other stuff concerning davx5 (calendars, contacts) are syncing smoothly with the same nextcloud instance for many months now. As of that, communication between davx5 and nextcloud seems to be working well in general except the jtx sync thing.

Hi! Can you post your debug info (found in the DAVx5 settings at the top) here please? Did you select jtx as tasks app in DAVx5 (settings at the bottom)?

Now it seems to be working.

I have not seen it in the documentation - well, I think my fault ;-)
