Actual Result

After last Bitwarden update the bitwarden safari extension is missing. Already tried every thing seen googling, like Onyx, rebuild database launch services, uninstall, etc.. but nothing of these fix the problem.

Hi,

MacBook Pro Core i7
Big Sur 11.6.1

Safari 15.1 upgrade.
Bitwarden 1.29 upgrade.
=> not more Bitwarden extension in Safari

Reverted to Birwarden 1.28.3 using Time Machine.

Relaunched Safari.

Now the extension is back in Safari preferences.
I had to tick the checkbox.

This did the trick:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

from https://www.turnoffthelights.com/support/browser-extension/solution-on-safari-extension-not-showing/

  1. Open your Terminal app from the Launchpad
  2. And type this code:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
  3. Then it run that code for about +/- 30 seconds.
  4. Now it is ready, and you can open Safari, and the extension will be now visible in your “Extensions” panel
