diffeqer

Diffeqer is a REST server for solving differential equations. A request for a solution is sent as JSON and should have the following format:

{
    'timestep': NUMBER, // the timestep to use for the solver
    'inital_time': NUMBER // the initial time value to begin evaluating
    'initial_value': NUMBER // the value at the initial time
    'final_time': NUMBER, // the last time value to evaluate
    'method': STRING // the method to use ('Euler' or 'Taylor')
    'expression': STRING // the derivative of the solution as a string expression
}

Format of an expression

Expressions can use the operators '+', '-', '*', '/', and '^'. They are entered as they would intuitively be described. For exmample, 3*t^2 is a valid expression (whose solution as a differential equation x' = 3*t^2 is t^3).

#Deployed App

Though there is a host constant that can be edited to run this on any server, this project isn't much use to anyone alone. The app is currently deployed here

####Usage Though the system easily accomodates variable reassignment, the deployed app requires that time is given using the variable 't' and the dependent variable is given by 'x'. The expression given above is an example of an expression following these conventions.

The app requests updates every time a value is changed or when the enter key is pressed on the equation textbox.
