Error "Could not find the goosed executable"

When trying to use the VS Code extention on Ubuntu, I see the following error on first trying to open the chat pane in the VS Code editor:

Both the desktop app and CLI are installed, and appear to be working as expected. It is only the VS Code extension that is not.

The dpkg install put the goosed file into the location /usr/lib/goose/resources/bin/goosed and this extension does not include that directory in the default search path.

I created a symlink like this:

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/goose/resources/bin/goosed /usr/local/bin/goosed

and the extension was able to start correctly. Just in case anyone else might run into this etc.

I am on windows and getting the same problem. I have directed the Goose > Server: Path directly to the goosed executable, and added a path to the executable directory and I am getting the same error. Has anyone found a solution to this
