observe selections doesn't work with jlab4 #431

Describe the bug
the selections trait of datagrid is an empty list even when there is a selection when using jlab 4.

note - the test env pins to jlab<4 so currently jlab>4 is not explicitly supported. perhaps it should be pinned to 3 for now ? https://github.com/bloomberg/ipydatagrid/blob/main/test-environment-ipyw8.yaml

To Reproduce

Expected behavior & Screenshots
when you select a column and return selections you get a list of dicts indicating selected cells
