Multiple CalendarEntry's on a single iCal calendar?

If I wanted to have multiple CalendarEntry's on a single iCal calendar, would you recommend that I override the to_ical() method or could we modify that method to take an existing Calendar as an optional parameter and add the event to that instead of creating a separate calendar each time?

Hey, an ical object can only contain a single VCALENDAR component. So I guess what you're asking is if you could force the events from multiple CalendarEntries into a single VCALENDAR. Since this would break the clean encapsulation, I think it'd be better if you override to_ical yourself for this one. A CalendarEntry is for multiple related events, so adding a method to combine them from different ones seems wrong.

The model I’m using is to have an Activity model that has a single CalendarEntry relationship. So if I wanted a calendar of all the activities, wouldn’t that mean a single VCALENDAR with multiple VEVENTs, one for each Activity?
