Unfortunately, this will break many OS X setups and possibly some Linux ones.

Is your system using Python 3 for the interpreter invoked with python? Wondering why you need this change.

Just FYI, python installed with MacPorts on Mac OS X comes with a python2 executable, but Ubuntu has no python2, so this would break under Ubuntu specifically. I think a better solution would be to fix venvburrito so that it can work with either Python 2 or 3.

Oh, it's no disturbance. You should keep an eye on issue #24, when that is fixed this will no longer be a concern.
