Why bother with Flickr?

Leveraging Flickr has the advantages that Flickr takes care of storing, serving, resizing the images. Yes, pictures will be gone if Flickr is down, but its performance has been pretty great and consistent over the past years.

The basic idea is that you ask all friends and family to use the same tag on Flickr to tag pictures of your loved one. With an automated search operation, the Remember website pulls all those tagged pictures in dynamically.

For example, here you can see all pictures tagged with "denisluyten" on Flickr. It's exactly the same selection of pictures, as the integrated gallery at: http://users.telenet.be/bluyten/denisluyten/photos.html

You have to change the name of the person in so many places, can't this be a central variable?

I have big hopes for HTML Imports, but right now, only Google Chrome supports them so we're not using it yet. https://caniuse.com/#search=import

Just describe the fix you want to contribute as an issue & then send a corresponding pull request.

There's something better that does exactly the same

Please do tell me. Would be very happy to discontinue this and move over to something more professional that fulfils the requirements/motivation as stated in the README.md
