I am using brave 1.22.71 on archlinux. My DE is gnome 40.0. I am using wayland as my display server. After upgrading to gnome 40.0 brave is frequently crashing and becoming a zombie process and sometimes freezing the entire system. I have only noticed this while playing videos in youtube. I saw this issue mentioned in #7568 but the issue was closed and there was no response in the thread so I decided to open a new issue here.
Here is the ouput from journalctl :
The issue still remains if I disable hardware acceleration. Also sometimes when the entire system freezes the last second or so of the audio keeps playing repeatedly.
I have tried playing the video after disabling all extensions and the shield but it still crashes and if I try to restart brave it becomes a zombie process. Also after the crash it seems systemd cannot even shutdown properly. It just tries to shut down other processes and at the end shows no time limit.
This time I enabled crash reporting. Some screenshots :
EDIT : This happens in xorg and chromium and firefox crashes too. This may be due to a gnome-shell issue or some arch linux package. I have opened a bug report in archlinux.org.
