### Consequences of switching your time zone

{% alert warning %}

Switching time zones can cause some data discrepancies around the point when the time zone was changed. If someone switches their time zone, we make a good faith effort to convert things over accurately, but it is not always a perfect conversion. You may notice a discontinuity in your data, where it may switch between time zones.

{% endalert %}

If you choose to switch your time zone, you may experience a variety of consequences, including:

- While campaigns scheduled for specific times in specific locations (i.e., 9 pm Eastern Time) will run properly on schedule until edited, both campaign analytics and future campaign schedules will be affected by the change.
- Any card scheduling that is not assigned to local time may be affected, with active cards potentially appearing as finished (or vice versa).
- Segmentation filters of the form "Has done X before/after `Date`" will have the time adjusted because the initial date will now be localized in Pacific Time.

The **Notification Preferences** page is where you can configure who (if anyone) receives notifications about your company. You can configure who should receive notifications about campaign delivery or technical errors. You can also specify recipients for the weekly analytics report. For most notifications, Braze supports email and webhook channels.

## Weekly analytics reporting

Braze optionally sends a weekly report via email to individuals you designate within your company every Monday at 5 am EST. The custom events to be included in the weekly report are selected on the **Custom Events** tab within the **Manage Settings** page of the dashboard. You may select up to five events to be included in your weekly report:

## Slack incoming webhook integration

Slack has an [incoming webhook app][67] that allows messages to be posted from external sources into Slack. To get started, open the incoming webhook app.

1. Select the Slack channel that you'd like the notifications to go to and click **Add Incoming Webhooks Integration**.<br><br>
![Add incoming webhooks integration in Slack][63]<br><br>
Slack will generate a URL that you'll need to enter into Braze for the notifications that you wish to receive.<br><br>
2. Copy the **Webhook URL**.<br><br>
![Copy webhook URL][64]<br><br>
3. Navigate to the **Notification Preferences** tab in **Company Settings**.<br><br>
4. Select the notification that you wish to enable for Slack. Or, if you have multiple notifications that you want to send to this Slack channel, use **Bulk Add** to add the webhook to multiple notifications.<br><br>

5. Enter the URL that Slack generated for you.

That's it! You should start receiving notifications about your company to this Slack channel. You can also check out Slack's help article on this topic: [Sending messages using Incoming Webhooks][62].

## Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a second level of identity verification to an account log, making it more secure than just a username and password. This feature is turned on by default for all Braze accounts.

When two-factor authentication is enabled, in addition to entering a password, users will need to enter a verification code when logging in to their Braze account. The code can be sent via the Authy app, email, or SMS.
When two-factor authentication is turned on, in addition to entering a password, users will need to enter a verification code when logging in to their Braze account. The code can be sent via an authenticator app, email, or SMS.

Two-factor authentication can be optional for Admins, and enabled for non-Admin users by default. However, when enabled, users who fail to set up their two-factor authentication will be locked out of their Braze account. Braze account users also can set up two-factor authentication on their own in Account Settings, even if not required by the administrator.

Upon toggling on two-factor authentication for your company, the **Remember Me** checkbox becomes available to users. This feature stores a cookie on your device, only requiring you to log in with two-factor authentication **once** over the course of 30 days.
Upon toggling on two-factor authentication for your company, the **Remember Me** checkbox becomes available to users. This feature stores a cookie on your device, only requiring you to log in with two-factor authentication once over the course of 30 days.

Customers with multiple accounts under a dashboard Company may experience issues using this feature due to the cookie being tied to a specific device. If users use the same device to log in to multiple accounts, the cookie will be replaced for the previously authorized accounts on that device. Braze expects only one device to be associated with an account, not one device for multiple accounts.

Be sure to save your changes before leaving the page!

### User authentication reset

Users experiencing issues logging in via two-factor authentication can reach out to their company admins to reset their two-factor authentication. To do this, have an admin navigate to **Manage Users**, select the user from the provided list, and select **Reset** under **Two-Factor Authentication**. A reset can solve common authentication issues such as trouble with Authy, email verification not being sent, login failure due to SMS outages or user error, and more.

Two-factor authentication enforcement:
- If two-factor authentication is not enforced at the company level, once reset, the user will log in normally and need to go to **Account Settings** to enable and set up two-factor authentication.
